Never Settle Nutrition held their "Fun FitCamp" on Oct 7th, at the Aggie Rec Center, on Cameron University Campus. Big S/O to everyone that showed up. The goal of Never Settle Nutrition, is to create a community of healthier and happier people! Get ready for the next FitCamp event on Saturday, November 18th. There will be a drawing for the fitcamp suits #liveyourbestlife and OKC Thunder tickets.

Freedom Elementary will be hosting Battle of the Books on Thurs., May 4 at 9:30 am in the Freedom Elementary Green Gym. The Lawton Public School's District Battle of the Books will highlight Eisenhower Elementary, Freedom Elementary, Lincoln Elementary and Whittier Elementary as teams of 3 students "battle" each other to identify a book based only on a quote. Lawton Public Schools will be holding the American Indian Education Senior Celebration on Wednesday, April 19 from 6pm - 7pm at the Albert Johnson Sr. Conference Center. The Indian Education program will take this time to celebrate the graduating seniors with families, administration, and local tribal leaders.
Congratulations to Lawton High School junior Adylynn Anderson. She won the 2023 State of Oklahoma Poetry Out Loud Competition. She performed three poems: "Edgar Allan Poe Is Reached at the Baltimore Harbor by the Shadows That Pursue Him" by Fernando Valverde, "I Once Was a Child" by Victoria Chang, and "I Remember, I Remember" by Thomas Hood. MacArthur High School JROTC will be hosting their 49th Annual Formal JROTC Ball on Fri., March 10th, from 6:45 - 10:00 pm in the McCasland Ballroom at Cameron University. This event is put on by the Highlander Battalion, JROTC cadets from each of the three LPS high schools come together for fun, friendship, and food.

MacArthur High School will be hosting the RGB Invitational on Sat., Feb. 25 from 9 am - 5 pm at MacArthur High School. Esports teams from all across Oklahoma will come together to compete in tournaments in Overwatch 2, League of Legends, and Super Smash Bros: Ultimate. Several colleges will be in attendance giving students an opportunity to play for college recruiters.
